If you've ever wanted to develop your own handicapping system, or investigate some of your own pet ideas, and you're comfortable working with a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet, this is the computer program for you. The Data Grabber reads comma delimited single file format past performances from TSN or BRIS and exports the data to an Excel spreadsheet where YOU can manipulate the data to your heart's content! There are more than 145 different data items that you can export, as shown in the following table:

Of course, some of the data items are not present in every record. For example, there are no 10f pace figures for 6f races, and no BRIS Power Ratings in TSN files! But, if the data is in the TSN/BRIS record, the Data Grabber will export it! And, of course, you don't need to clutter up a spreadsheet with data you are not interested in. The program comes with a windows configuration file (ini file) which lists the full set of available items. You simply use a text editor (like NotePad) to assign columns to only those items you want to export.
