Most handicappers call a race from which two or more horses have gone on to win their next race, a KEY Race. It's an indication that the race was unusually competitive. As a result, any horse coming out of that same race should be given some extra credit. We frequently see Key Races in which as many as five (5) horses have gone on to win their next race!

Here's an example of how powerful key race information can be, taken from the card at Arlington Park on 9/4/2009.

There were six horses coming out of key races that were running that day. As you can see, four of the six won their race, nearly tripling your money if you bet them all equally. And, as exciting as that may be, it was fairly representative of the long run. We ran a work out for a full month at Arlingtion, from 8/3/2009 through 9/3/2009, and here are the results:

Even though there were some races with five horses coming out of key races (and obviously, only one could win) these horses won 64 out of 192 bets, for 33.3 percent and an average mutuel of $14.31! Now, you can purchase a list of horses running today who are coming out of a key race from DRF. But it will cost you $5.00 per day. And, think about it. What are the chances that a race ran a week ago has already had two horses win their NEXT race? Not likely, is it? So, you really don't have to update your key race data every day, which would cost you $25 to $35 per week.

We're offering you an alternative. We update our Key Race data every Tuesday. You can download this data once a week with a subscription that costs only $9.95 per week (or $35.00 per month), and use the same file all week long. And, we'll throw in a program which will let you scan our key race file as well as your PP file from BRIS or TSN and provide a list of horses running on that card which are coming out of a key race. It will give you a report like the one shown above, that lists the race number, the horse, the key race it's coming out of, and the number of winners that have already come from that race. (The DRF data only tells you that there were either 2, or 3 or more, winners).
